My name is xxx, and I have been a nurse for seven years. I began my career in healthcare at Sanford Acute Care. I have worked in the Short Stay Unit, Cardiology Unit and AVA’s House (Pediatric and adult hospice). Currently I work at Acute Care in the beautiful Sioux Falls of South Dakota

My first placement as a nurse was at Sanford Acute Care but I am currently working at Acute Care in the beautiful Sioux Falls of South Dakota. Good communication is not only important for my pediatric patients but their parents as well (Feng et al., 2023). For example, it is common knowledge that pediatric patients can give consent hence, we depend on their parents for consent on medical procedures and this requires good communication skills to ensure that parents make informed decisions for their children (Nepi, 2019). On the side of children, I always try to engage them based on their age as well as maturity level. For instance, I commonly use TV shows to entice and engage with school going children.
