This week you will be begin planning for your final assignment, developing and launching a survey. This is broken down into 4 steps: Step 1: Survey Planning (week 11) Step 2: Survey Development (week 12) Step 3: Peer Review (week 13) Step 4: Survey Refinement (week 13) STEP 1: This week, you will select a social issue of interest to you and develop a research question focused on attitudes about this social issue. You will also conceptualize the concepts in your research question and develop multiple hypotheses. Your document should include the following items: Social Issue of Focus (topic) Research Question This should be CLEARLY and CAREFULLY worded, and stated in the form of a question. We will go over this in class Monday and Wednesday. See pages 99-101 in your textbook. Please send me a Pronto or Canvas message to have your research question approved BY FRIDAY! DO NOT GO ON TO ADDITIONAL STEPS UNTIL YOU HAVE CLEARED YOUR RESEARCH QUESTION WITH ME. If you question needs to be adjusted, you will have to redo the following steps. Conceptualization Each concept/phrase in the research question should be CLEARLY defined. We will go over this in class Monday and Wednesday. Hypotheses Provide a minimum of FIVE hypothesis statements. See pages 102-104 in your textbook. WHAT TO TURN IN: Submit a file that includes the items above (social issue, one research question, conceptualization of all concepts in the research question, and five hypotheses).
