Students will choose a case study from the set text or any other academic textbook featuring a scandal and or
unethical behaviour. A copy of the case study should appear after the Reference List or after the cover page and
before the Table of Contents. This shall not be included in the word content of the assignment. Analyse the case
study making comment on ethics and sustainability, leadership, organisational structure, regulatory failure and or
governance that led to the crisis. The source of the case study must be included on the coversheet of your
assignment and found in the set text or in other textbooks found in Pro Quest or in the KOl Library.
Students will self-select another student from the same tutorial class or complete the assessment task alone. If
during working together one student does not cooperate the pair can split and either work alone (same word
length) or with another student. In this event an email must be initiated and sent to the other student with the
lecturer cc in the email. It is the students’ responsibility to find a partner not the lecturers, thus attendance in the
class is important. Students will choose a case study from the set text or any other academic textbook found in
Pro Quest or in the KOl Library.

Overview:
This task has two components:
a. Paired Presentation: Week 9, 10, 11 with 5 only presentations restricted to week 12 tutorial. Worth 20
per cent of final grade
b. Paired Written Submission: Week 12 (via Moodle). Worth 30 per cent of final grade
a. Description Presentation:
Both students will contribute to research, writing and delivering an engaging 10-12 minute presentation to the
class on a case study selected. The presentation using PowerPoint will include a synopsis of the case study and
draw on ethical and sustainable theories to focus on the ethical implications of the case study for stakeholders
in business and society in general. Each group is also required to lead a brief class discussion via asking 2
stimulating questions to the class.
Your tutor may also ask questions of the presentation, including content and layout, which may be incorporated
into the written submission. The Presentation in the form of a Power Point Slide show will be uploaded to
Turnitin by one student while the other can upload the report. This should be done prior to your presentation
and delivery allowances will be made for first presentations in week 8.
b. Description Case Study Essay or Report 3000 words:
Students will analyse a case study of a business scandal and report on, ethics and sustainability, leadership,
organisational structure, regulatory failure and or governance aspects that led to the crisis.
Note: This is based on a case studies found in the text or in other textbooks found in Pro Quest or in the KOl
Library.
Important Requirements:
• Carefully read the KOl Cover Sheet, sign, and attach it to your presentation
• Cover Sheet must include names and student numbers of members, except if a student did not
contribute, please do not include their name and place a note that the other student was uncontactable.
• Only one person per group will make the written submission via Turnitin
• The presentation must include, as appropriate, intext citations and a Reference List, in Harvard style.
