Assessment brief: The British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC) of the years has in recent years faced several challenges through the competitive landscape as well as the emergence of several potential substitutes. The organisation has therefore invited you as a consultant to review its strategic positioning by answering the following questions.

Conduct an internal and external analysis of the company. Analyse the business environment (both micro and macro) of the UK using appropriate models (do not use PESTLE nor Porter’s 5 Forces models). (approximately 1000 words)

Using the analysis that was conducted in task 1 (above), apply any appropriate strategic models of your choice to design an appropriate business strategy for the company focusing on the next 3 years. Justify the recommended strategy that you are putting forward. (approximately 1000 words)

Based on the recommended strategy from task 2, use current business examples to justify your recommendations. (approximately 1000 words)

Using an appropriate change management model (other than Lewin’s Model), explain the challenges associated with the recommended strategies and how to overcome them. (approximately 600 words)
