Although you are not required to present it locally, consider how and where you might do so—or how your presentation could be the basis of one you give in the future as a nursing executive. Examples in the Learning Resources include state information from the National Conference of State Legislatures, National Perinatal Association, and National Rural Health Association. One or more groups may also have valuable research on the issue you select. The following are potential issues (listed alphabetically) that are national in scope and also may affect your community and state. However, do not hesitate to choose an issue that is unique to your community. A meaningful presentation is the goal.
