Purpose

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate knowledge of change management, processes of change, and resistance to change. Using your readings and research, you will demonstrate how managers and leaders can influence change within an organization. Faculty members designed this assignment to help students connect theory directly to personal leadership growth in real workplace scenarios.

Task

Step 1: Read all the instructions provided here and review the rubric. Many students find that reviewing the rubric first clarifies expectations for the audio and notes sections.

Think about your strengths and how you can use these competencies to overcome resistance to change and motivate others. Step 3: Comprise a scholarly and professional presentation using PowerPoint, Prezi, or other presentation software that includes 5-7 slides (do not exceed 9 slides), include audio and ALL the following points.   • Examine how key managers can use key elements of change to ensure effective change management processes.
  • Analyze the impact leaders have on the change process.
  • Using change management concepts, incorporate three to four competencies from your Change Leadership Competency Questionnaire results to address resistance to change.
  • Include a reference cited page. This assignment requires the use of, at minimum, 5 scholarly references or sources.
  • Include a detailed notes section for each slide. The notes section will be key speaking points with sources listed.

Submission

Read the grading rubric for the assignment. This assignment requires the use of, at minimum, five (5) scholarly references or sources dated within the last five years. Organizations today report higher success rates when leaders reference current research in their change initiatives.

Follow the assignment guidelines to ensure that your final submission includes a title page slide, in-text citations, a summary/conclusion page, and a reference list. IMPORTANT NOTE: In-text citations should be included in the slides and notes, as appropriate, to support your key points and takeaways. All in-text citations must be included in the reference list. Limit quotes; paraphrase to show greater understanding of the topics. When using quotes, provide the page and explain the significance of using the quote. Provide the page or paragraph number. Note that a reference within a reference list cannot exist without an associated in-text citation and vice versa. The presentation must be professional in appearance and include visuals such as tables, graphs, and clipart. The slides should flow and transition in an organized manner with one idea/concept leading to the next.

The presentation should begin with an introductory slide that clearly and succinctly explains what you intend to cover in the body of the presentation. The presentation should end with a conclusion/summary slide that clearly and succinctly explains what you covered in the body of the presentation.
