Concept Diagram for The Nevada Legislature
Please make concept diagrams for the content found in specified chapters from The Sagebrush State, 7th Edition.
Do not incorporate outside sources. Note: Each CD is separate. Think of this exercise like a visual outline that connects different pieces of information within, and between, segments of the assigned text. Your CD should include far more than just section headings. As you’re assembling it, please ask yourself an important question:
Could someone use your work to study for an exam? If not, then you need more detail. Total: 20 * 4 = 80 points.
Specifications
Only upload files that allow feedback to be written on them (e.g., MS Word.docx or .pdf or PowerPoint .pptx). Unfortunately, other software isn’t recognized by Canvas, which means that it can’t be used for our purposes here.
Each concept diagram should be a single (i.e., one) file – not multiple.
Do not handwrite your work and then take a picture or scan it because those kinds of files will not be accepted. Again, I need to be able to highlight and write comments on the document itself.
Color-code the different sections of the concept diagram so that they are separate and always include page numbers. The model I provided is a necessary guide here.
Font size must be large enough for me to read because Canvas’ magnification feature has limits.
Every concept diagram can be done in two (perhaps three) pages if you’re thoughtful about the layout. Yes, the example that I provided is only one page, but that’s because the document is shorter. The chapters that you’re reading from Bowers and Damore text contain much more information.
Individual pages may be long, but please not wide, because wide pages create a problem when typing feedback on the work submitted. Please note that MS Word documents using the landscape orientation (such as my example) and regular PPT slides are fine.
Work is not resubmitted once it has been graded. The feedback you receive is applied going forward.
Rubric
+0-10 points for the content = amount and level of detail
+0-5 points for organization = arrangement of information
+0-5 points for following directions
