This formative assessment builds skills in evaluating the integration of social justice, ethics, and fiscal responsibility in healthcare policies. You will analyze a healthcare policy to evaluate how it integrates ethical principles, social justice priorities, and fiscal responsibility. Create a visual matrix or chart summarizing the policy’s strengths, weaknesses, and strategies for addressing challenges. Include key aspects such as ethical considerations, equity impacts, financial sustainability, and proposed solutions. This assignment fosters critical thinking and practical skills in policy evaluation and advocacy. 

Instructions: 

Select a Healthcare Policy: 

  • Choose a healthcare policy that reflects efforts to balance ethical considerations, social justice, and financial constraints. Examples include the Value-Based Care Initiative or Medicaid Expansion Policies. 

Evaluate the Policy: 

  • Assess how the policy incorporates ethical principles such as beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice.
