Assignment Brief
You are to submit the portfolio of evidence, which demonstrates the management of your client project.
The evidence you must include is prescribed by the separate proformas, see document entitled
BM562 Proformas for CW1 Portfolio 2021-22
You must provide supporting evidence as far as possible for each section.
All contributing students’ names and student ID numbers must be on the front cover. If a student’s identifying details are missing, they will not be awarded a grade.
One of the sections is the final Client Report. This should be 2500 words long +/- 10%. You must ensure that your Client receives a copy of this.
There is no designated word count for the other elements of the portfolio, however these should still be professionally and carefully written and presented.
WORKING IN GROUPS
All team members must participate in the development of the portfolio.
As 20% of the mark for this coursework will come from the client’s rating for each individual, final marks may vary between team members.
As regards the other 80%, your work will be marked as a group and all members will receive the same mark, unless there is clear evidence of a difference in contribution.
Please see the separate ‘Group Work Policy Statement’ for more information.
This assignment has been designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your achievement of the following module learning outcomes:
Apply an evaluative approach to a range of practical business data, and sources of information for
delivery of the project
Perform efficiently and effectively as a collaborative member of a working group and as an added
value contributor to the organisation which is assigned to the students.
Deliver innovative solutions to the client’s problems together with recommendations for measuring
and evaluating those solutions.
Demonstrate effective business communication skills
Task requirements
The Client Report element of the portfolio should use line and a half spacing. This element of the work should be 2500 words long +/- 10%.
The list of references will not be included in the word count.
