It requires knowledge of policies and procedures for the use of ICT in the learning environment and the demonstration of competence in using ICT to promote learning and support learners to review their achievements.

These non-mandatory tasks has been developed to meet the knowledge learning outcomes for this unit.
Task 1 links to learning outcome 1 (AC 1.1, 1.3) Produce a fact sheet:
describing the setting’s policy for the use of ICT for teaching and learning
outlining the legislation, regulations and guidance in relations to the use of ICT, eg software licencing.
Task 2 links to learning outcome 1 (AC 1.2, 1.4) and learning outcome 2 (AC 2.2) Produce a booklet for new staff identifying the ICT resources used for teaching and learning within the learning environment. This booklet should also identify the accessories, consumables and information needed to use ICT resources as well as describe the requirements and procedures for storage and security of the ICT resources.
Task 3 links to learning outcome 2 (AC 2.1, 2.3) Read the scenario before attempting the task:
Your school/college is taking part in National Safety Week and will be holding events for children, young people and adults on a variety of topics relating to keeping safe.
You are asked to deliver workshops to promote ICT safety.
Create a presentation or handout for the workshops that:
