In this writing task, you will develop the problem definition section of your paper. Please review the specific content that should be included in this section of your paper.
1. Contextual Framing (150–200 words) Do not use a heading for this section.
- Introduce the issue in disciplinary context
- Establish why it matters within the field
2. Contributing Factors Analysis (400–500 words)
- Identify 2–3 research-supported contributing factors
- Synthesize at least 3 scholarly sources (these sources should be properly cited within this section using APA format)
- Explain how these factors interact and contribute to the problem
- Avoid listing sources sequentially–they should be woven into your paragraphs

3. Focused Problem Claim (150–250 words)
- Argue which factor is primary or most actionable
- Clarify scope limitations–what are you not considering based on the limited scope of this paper
- State how this framing sets up the forthcoming solution
