Lesson 5 -Assignment: Compile a Combined View of Certification, Accreditation, and Cloud Solutions
Purpose Compile a unified solution for internal systems and those in the cloud (remote private to public cloud computing). Identify if containerization might be a solution to an issue and do not exclude human and procedure issues at organizations or their cloud provider.
Select and name a specific organization that makes significant use of public cloud systems and internal systems of core processes. [It should be large enough to call for proper systems (over $30 million cost budget or revenue, but not a major “tech company” such as Google, Facebook, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, etc. Supply your views, do not echo existing plans of the selected organization.) Combine the view of C&A with FedRAMP, the Cloud Security Alliance, the BitSight role, plus any other options that are considered important.
Instructions Include the following in your report:
Compile a holistic technical report but add an interpretation of the relevance to the organization (non-technical). A structured report that supplies a thorough review of threats and vulnerabilities from the listed areas above. Address the issue: How can organizations create safe systems and establish the safety of cloud system providers at present? Include a representative diagram of the systems and integration that would be useful to your discussion. Use SmartArt in Microsoft Word, LucidChart’s free student extension or a suitable tool that you know. Length: 7 pages not including the title page and references.
References: Include relevant sources from within the course as well as two additional scholarly articles from the NU Library and any other sources used.
