The consequences of the disease can be far-reaching, affecting both individuals and society. The part of the population with limited access to healthcare suffers more (Anderson & Durstine, 2019). The first moving and unknown diseases, such as covid19, have hard-hitting effects on the economy and the general human existence, for example, lost labor or consumption losses. On an individual level, diseases can cause death, disability, and chronic illness, which can devastate a person’s quality of life. They reduce the productivity of the individual in society and make them beggars and dependent on other people. Chronic diseases and unhealthy behaviors also reduce worker productivity. Hypertension, diabetes, cigarettes, physical inactivity, and overweight are five chronic illnesses or risk factors that cost US employers $36.4 billion per year in lost workdays. On a societal level, diseases can lead to decreased economic productivity, social distress, psychological trauma, increased poverty, and new social disparities (Anderson & Durstine, 2019). People stay indoors and fail to work in case of an outbreak of infectious diseases. Covi19, for example, primarily affected many societies in the world as people stayed indoors in fear of contracting the disease. As a result, many lost their jobs because employers could no longer continue operating businesses in fear of diseases (Anderson & Durstine, 2019).

Impacts of genetics and balanced polymorphisms
According to Shunmoogam et al. (2018), genetics is a biological branch that deals with studying heredity and variation in living things. In genomics, polymorphism refers to two or more variations of a particular sequence of DNA that can occur in different populations or individuals. Genetics and balanced polymorphisms may have influenced an individual’s susceptibility to certain diseases (Shunmoogam et al., 2018). In genetics, polymorphism is the presence of two or more forms of a gene in a population, which can influence the expression of a trait. Such genetic variation can be beneficial—for example, it can help a population to adapt better to changing environmental conditions. It can also negatively affect specific individuals, making them more vulnerable to certain diseases. People with a genetic predisposition to certain diseases are more likely to be affected than those without such predispositions. The same polymorphisms that have affected individuals throughout history may have also affected the ancestors and descendants of those individuals. For example, suppose an ancestor had a genetic polymorphism that made them more susceptible to certain diseases. In that case, this may have been passed down to their descendants, making them more vulnerable to the same conditions. In this way, population pressure can cause infections to persist through generations, affecting family lines over time (Chakraborty & Maity, 2020).
Variations in genetics, lifestyle, and environment can all have an impact on how diseases manifest and how individuals respond to them. For instance, some people may have inherited a genetic resistance to certain infectious diseases, while others may have been more susceptible. However, it is essential to remember that conditions can affect anyone, regardless of their ancestors’ genetics or health (Shunmoogam et al., 2018). Finally, it is essential to understand the role played by genetics and balanced polymorphisms in disease susceptibility so that people can take the necessary preventive measures to protect their families and themselves.
