The Student Evaluations Assignment Paper
Introduction
Receiving student reviews as an instructor concerning the unit or course you taught earlier is fundamental as it helps in knowing where to improve your teaching methods (Chávez & Mitchell, 2020)The Student Evaluations Assignment Paper . However, it might be challenging to hear criticism of your teaching methods. Students have complained that this lecturer tends to ramble on discussing personal experiences rather than concentrating on the course material. Based on the readings, I will describe how I would react to these comments and the steps I would take to change how I teach in this discussion.

How would I feel about the comments
According to Zimmerman (2020), nothing is more discouraging than receiving negative feedback from the students. It takes a strong instructor to take negative feedback or criticism as a lesson for both professional and personal growth. As a lecturer, it is essential to take these criticisms positively and constructively and view them as improvement opportunities. Reflecting on why students felt that way and what I can do to better might be more fruitful than focusing on sentiments of disappointment and annoyance.
I agree that constructive criticism is an essential source of knowledge that can aid in developing my instructional strategies. It is crucial to understand that the criticisms are not intended as personal jabs but rather as a chance for me to modify my teaching methods to meet my students’ requirements better. I would also concentrate on constructive criticism and use it as inspiration to get better. Students might have enjoyed my personal tales and stories but might have thought they had detracted from the course material. In this situation, I may add personal experiences to my lessons in a more targeted and applicable approach that complements rather than detracts from the course material.
What would I do the next time differently
I would try to organize my lectures to be more concentrated on the course material in order to solve the issue of rambling about personal experiences. I would begin by reviewing the course objectives and ensuring that each lesson focuses on achieving these goals (Zimmerman, 2020). In addition, limiting personal anecdotes in length and making sure they were pertinent to the course material. I will be able to continue talking about my personal experiences and keep on the topic if I do this (Almaiah & Alyoussef, 2019)The Student Evaluations Assignment Paper .
I would also use active learning as a tactic. Students participating in active learning are more likely to remember what they have learned. This might include encouraging students to apply the ideas they have learned in class to real-world circumstances by including activities like group discussions, case studies, and problem-solving exercises (Chávez & Mitchell, 2020). Students will be able to study the course material more effectively with the help of this method. Finally, asking for regular student feedback throughout the semester can also be an essential approach to the issue and avoid negative feedback at the end of the semester. This would help identify the weaknesses early and make all the necessary adjustments to my teaching style based on their needs and preferences (Chávez & Mitchell, 2020). Apart from the in-class feedback, the anonymous review can be done after every module. In these surveys, the students would be asked about the effectiveness of the teaching methods, the clarity of the course objectives, and how helpful is the course material.
Conclusion
It can be discouraging to hear criticism of your teaching methods, but seeing it as a chance to improve is essential. Feedback, in this case, suggests that the instructor should concentrate more on the course material and less on anecdotes from their own life. The instructor can solve this problem by organizing lectures around the course objectives, implementing active learning techniques, and soliciting student feedback throughout the semester. The instructor can give pupils a more interesting and productive learning experience by implementing these techniques.
