This assignment requires you to provide a critical analysis of the unit content. Over the duration of the semester, you will be provided with four questions for discussion. You will undertake research and respond to a scenario and / or questions posted on Discussion Board relevant to the Study Guide content. e.g. your manager wants you to research the effectiveness of digital technologies in Disaster Risk Management (e.g. contact tracing apps, social media, drones) You should take the following steps 1. Read and make sure you understand the question. Develop a smaller question, narrowing the scope of the question. In the example above, you would identify one digital technology to research 2. Prompt a Gen AI tool such as Microsoft Copilot to investigate the issue the question addresses. Copy the prompt and the output into the Critical Analysis Table 3. Examine the GenAI output and use your critical analysis skills to evaluate if it is accurate, sufficiently detailed for the question to be useful. Check if the references provided are real and relevant. Use the Critical Analysis Table to copy the prompt and the output into the Critical Analysis Table record with your bullet point thoughts. 4. Repeat this at least 2 times to see if you can improve the output (copying the prompt, the output and recording your bullet point thoughts into the Critical Analysis Table). 5. Improve the Gen AI tool (e.g. Microsoft Copilot ) generated response based on your analysis. Post your improved response onto discussion board by the submission date for each. Include dot points of how you improved the response. Make sure you keep a copy of your work for each of the four questions. On the final submission date submit all four responses in one document.
