Students will review at least 10 research articles on the chosen topic and write a 10-12 page paper reviewing the research reviewed. Articles chosen should be journal articles (published within the last 10 years) from peer-reviewed journals and should be research articles, not reviews. Papers should review not just the content of the research studies but also the quality of the research itself. Information should be synthesized to evaluate the effectiveness of the model/theory/approach addressed and should not just summarize each article independently. Careful attention should be paid to the rubric below regarding details that should be included in the paper. Students should conclude with a statement about the effectiveness of the model/theory/approach based on the research reviewed. Papers will include grading for format and writing and should follow all the format rules of the APA Publication Manual 7 Edition except an abstract and table of contents will not be needed for this paper. Students should use in-text citations throughout and include a reference list.
