Using all your hard work from previous modules, this week you will write and submit a draft of the written portion of your Final Project. Refer to your outline to guide the flow of your doc, and use your sources to provide evidence on your topic. Specific requirements are listed below.
Instructions
For this assignment, you will write and submit an evidence-based paper on the topic you have spent the last few weeks researching.
- Access the TEMPLATE linked at the bottom of the page and save a copy as “[Last Name] First Draft Final Doc.”
- The body of the doc must be 3-4 in length
- All text should be double-spaced (throughout the entire document, not just the body)
- This length requirement does NOT include your title or references docs. So with these 2 additional docs, the minimum length is more like 5-6.
- Include the following:
- Include a title doc
- Include at least 3 headings
- Include a minimum of 1 reference doc
- Include a minimum of 4 peer-reviewed articles as references
- Include a minimum of 1 in-text citation from each source (a minimum of 4 in-text citations total)
- Ideally, each paragraph should have at least one in-text citation (if not more like 2-4).
- Remember that in-text citations are not just for quotes! Often the best way to cite a reference is with a parenthetical citation (Author et al., year) at the end of a sentence.
- Use no more than 2 total direct quotations for the entire doc. You are not required to include any direct quotes. In fact, it is preferred that you do not use quotes.
- All elements of the paper must be formatted according to APA 7th edition ‘Student doc’ requirements.
- This includes the structure and style of the title and reference pages, as well as headings and in-text citations within the body of the paper.
- Remember that you have many APA resources available to you on the APA Formatting Resources doc.
- When you are ready to submit, come back here and upload your document.
- Option 1: If you used the Word document template, this should be fairly simple. Upload your document as you would any other file.
- Option 2: If you used the Google Docs template, you will need to download a file of your document and then upload it here. As before, I will NOT accept a link to a Google Doc.
