Briefing Project / Presentation Overview
Your Briefing Project will be presented in Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) and posted to the Module 13 Discussion Board (This is also noted in Course Calendar section of the Course Syllabus).
If you’ve been keeping up with the last two weeks of Graded Discussions – good news, your Briefing Project is almost done!
Your Briefing Project is simply the visual presentation of the Outline you turned in for your DHS Topic Paper
As we discussed in Module 10, the Outline we submitted is the foundation for the Briefing Project. Presentations in the U.S. Intelligence Community are based on consistency. Consistency is best developed through the use of basic Presentation Models that everyone can relate to a use within the organization. Presentation Models not only ensure consistency, but it helps to establish constructive expectations with the customer (policymaker or operators).
The Presentation Model you will use for your Briefing Project is provided (below). You may notice that it aligns with the Outline you’ve already written. The only difference is the addition of the Presentation Overview and the Presentation Summary at the beginning and the end respectively.
