After reading the book by Engel (2010), answer the following questions in your initial
discussion post:
1. What elements of this book surprised you?
2. Do you believe this represents the care and communication that occurs in our
organizations(select the organization that best represents you) today? Why or why?
3. What is one key leadership concept that you can take away and apply to your
nursing practice? When describing that key concept, utilize at least one evidence
based article that relates to this key concept, along with an example of application to
practice. (For example: patient engagement could be a concept – describe what it is
