| Purpose
|
The purpose of this assignment is to practice therapeutic communication strategies when interacting with an adolescent client who wants to discuss sexual orientation. Therapeutic communication creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where the client feels respected and understood. By using age-appropriate language, active listening, and empathy, nurses can reduce anxiety, build trust, and support the client’s emotional well-being during a sensitive conversation. |
