Tech Coast Angels Pitch Session Capital Project Analysis – CLO 3, CLO 6
During the first few weeks, you virtually attended the Tech Coast Angels, Orange County (TCA
OC) Pitch Screening or watched a previously recorded pitch session.
In a 4-6-page, APA-formatted paper, answer the following prompts:
● Write a 3-4 paragraph (200-250 word) reflection on the pitch session, including what was
interesting, what was different from your expectations, etc. Make sure to include a
one-paragraph overview on each of the companies that pitched to TCA, with an emphasis
on how the project the company was launching (or how the launch went if already
launched).
● What two takeaways from the pitch session did you have (identify the takeaway and
explain why – approximately 1-2 complete paragraphs per takeaway);
● Choose one of the companies that pitched to the Tech Coast Angels, and analyze that
company’s project pitch and launch. What went well, what could have been done better,
and if you have the funds available, would you invest yourself.

the pitch and history, and provide an analysis of the financials that you would give to the
owner if you were one of the TCA members, including but not limited to (dependent on
what is provided during the pitch session and what is available in the 10-K report if
filed):
o Perform an analysis of the investment that the company has received previously,
as well as the investment the company is looking for
o Based on the reported financials and requests, analyze the current financial
structure of the company. What challenges do you foresee? Provide a potential
resolution to any challenges you identify (we understand this might be limited
based upon the pitch).
▪ Identify any variables that if not met would severely hinder the company’s
survival.
o What risks do you see in both the immediate and 1-2-year timeframe (minimum
- and identify a potential mitigation for each identified risk?
Make sure you bring in examples that you know of, and integrate at least two (2) peer-reviewed
